Professional Cooks - Institute of Culinary Excellence

Alison established the Institute of Culinary Excellence (ICE) in partnership with workforce planning specialist, Robyn Keenan, in 2012.

Based in Brisbane, Queensland, ICE is a top tier, private sector regsitered cookery college offering first class culinary career training.

ICE sets out to equip students with the professional skills they need to become the best chefs they can be, to develop life-long careers in cookery and ultimately, to become international food industry leaders.

On offer is a portfolio of national and international standard course options including Certificate II in Kitchen Operations, Food Safety Supervisor and the apprentcieship Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. In 2015  ICE will also be offering Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery. Each year ICE offeres a number of Culinary Scholarship which applicants may apply for. The scholarships are worth over $5000 and there are 15 places offered at different times throughout the year. Applicants may apply via ICE's website www.theice.com.au

ICE hopes to be able to offer Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Culianry Arts and Kitchen Management in 2015. ICE's clients include most of the top restaurants in and around Brisbane and the Gold Coast including; Aria, Urbane, Public, Gerard's Bistro, Bucci, Blackbird, Peasant, Restaurant II, Palazzo Versace and Treasury and Jupiters Casino.
